Paris Saint-Germain could make a late move to sign Danny Rose from Tottenham Hotspur before the end of August, according to The Evening Standard.
What’s the word?
Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has enjoyed a quiet summer as the Lilywhites became the first side since the inception of the modern transfer window in 2003 not to bring any new faces in during the close season – but exits could still be on the cards.
With the European window remaining open until the end of August, Tottenham could see clubs on the continent launch a raid on their squad and The Evening Standard states Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are expressing an interest in Danny Rose.
The England international was an unused substitute in Spurs’ 3-1 victory over Fulham at Wembley on Saturday and Pochettino is happy for the 28-year-old to leave, which opens the door for Thomas Tuchel to make a move.
PSG are eyeing recruits down the left side after seeing Yuri Berchiche join Athletic Bilbao earlier this summer and Rose, who is said to be interested in a move to the French capital, is a leading candidate to be drafted in as his replacement.
A risk worth taking?
While Walker-Peters and Ben Davies have both impressed down the left side in recent campaigns for Spurs, neither boasts the quality that Rose possesses and allowing him to leave would certainly be a risky move from Tottenham.

However, with Pochettino basically rating him behind both Davies and Walker-Peters, the 28-year-old must secure a move away – whether to PSG or another European club – before August 31 in order to reignite a career that will be left floundering if he stays at Tottenham for much longer.
