Tuchel came under fire for what appeared a hugely controversial decision to substitute Kane during the Champions League semi-final clash with Real Madrid, with the German giants suffering a late collapse in that contest to tumble out of Europe. However, he explained after the game that he took off the forward because he "froze up" due to a back injury, and couldn't continue.

Kane is now destined to finish his first season with Bayern empty-handed, and will not be adding to his tally of 44 goals through 45 appearances. That is because he remains stuck on the sidelines and will sit out the final-day clash with Hoffenheim on Saturday.
WHAT TUCHEL SAID
Tuchel has confirmed as much, telling reporters when asked about Kane’s condition: “Harry is getting treatment from his personal doctor. He can't travel. He was already at the limit in Madrid. He had a complete blockade in his back, it's gotten worse and bothers him in everyday movements.”

The severity of Kane’s problem is not being revealed, with England boss Gareth Southgate sweating on his fitness. The Three Lions are set to name their preliminary squad for Euro 2024 next Tuesday, with Kane – as captain of his country and a man with a record-breaking collection of international goals to his name – expected to figure prominently in plans for a major international tournament. Indeed, even though the striker's back complaint is clearly causing him issues, it would be a huge shock if he wasn't ready in time for the start of Euro 2024.
