Aston Villa were impressive 3-0 winners against Middlesbrough on Saturday as they continue to push towards the playoff places in the Championship, and fans of the club on Twitter loved the performance of captain James Chester.
The 29-year-old opened the scoring for the away side by turning the ball home after Boro failed to clear a corner, and the clean sheet would have been a welcome relief having conceded seven goals in the past two matches.
Chelsea loanee Tammy Abraham doubled the Villans’ lead just after the hour mark, and Glenn Whelan rounded off a strong day’s work for Dean Smith’s side with a low strike that Darren Randolph really should have saved late on.

Chester though marshalled his defence well and Middlesbrough barely created any clear cut chances, barring one Jordan Hugill shot that was impressively saved by Orjan Nyland with the score at 2-0.
