West Ham United fans have hailed manager David Moyes after his side’s 3-1 win over Southampton on Saturday.

The Hammers enjoyed an exceptional performance against the Saints and climbed out of the relegation zone as a result, ahead of the remainder of the weekend’s fixtures.

Goals from January signing Jarrod Bowen, Sebastien Haller, and Michail Antonio sealed all three points and the Hammers’ first win in seven Premier League games.

And supporters gave some credit to the former Manchester United boss for his team selection and tactics.

Indeed, a number of fans were particularly happy with the way that Moyes managed to bring the best out of striker Haller.

He had scored just six top-flight goals prior to Saturday’s encounter but was a threat throughout, netting a fine finish before half-time to put his side into the lead.

And several supporters felt that adding some genuine support to the Frenchman in Bowen and Antonio gave him the tools he needed to succeed.

It remains to be seen, of course, if this will last, with the Hammers taking on Arsenal, Wolves and Tottenham Hotspur in their next three games.

Moyes perhaps ought to enjoy this while it lasts.
