Loan goalkeeper Vladimir Stojkovic remains hopeful of a earning a permanent deal to stay with Wigan Athletic beyond the end of the season.
The 26-year-old Serbia international has made five appearances for the Latics since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon in January and is content with life in England despite a relative lack of first-team chances.
He told Sportski Zurnal:"In Serbia there were rumours that I don't want to stay at Wigan, but that is not true.
"My quotes were wrongly translated. I never told anyone that I would like to go somewhere else. I really don't know why someone is always making up stories about me.
"I told one journalist that I was sad because I couldn't show more of what I can do in a Wigan shirt, but I really want to stay in England and at Wigan.
"I haven't spoken to coach Roberto Martinez yet, but I think we will sit down in the next few days. I feel happy at Wigan, so I hope we will still be able to work together next season."Subscribe to Football FanCast News Headlines by Email
