Middlesbrough remain on course for Premier League promotion as they currently sit at the top of the Championship.
However, there are only five points separating first from sixth and Boro are only at the top of the standings due to goal difference.
Tony Pulis’s side had an opportunity to extend their lead at the top on Tuesday night but they failed to overcome Rotherham.
In the end, Boro had to settle for a goalless draw at the Riverside Stadium – the fifth time this season that they have been held to a point in the Championship.

Understandably, fans were frustrated with the result, and plenty criticised Pulis for not giving some of the club’s younger players a chance.
Lewis Wing, 23, was part of the matchday squad for the first six league outings but has not been included since the end of August.
Nineteen-year-old Marcus Tavernier has not been in the squad since mid-August, while Harry Chapman, 20, has not made a single league appearance but has impressed in cup competitions.
After Tuesday night’s showing, plenty of fans called on Pulis to give the young trio a chance.
