A La Liga financial control rule was approved by all clubs last November and it has already come into effect in the current season. The rule allows a club to overpay to renew the deal of a squad member who is aged less than 24 and the club then generate the same amount throughout the year. If the club fails to generate that amount, it will get deducted from their next season's salary cap.
